Early Times Report
RAMGARH, Mar 8: In a monumental collaboration, the District Hub For Empowerment of Women, under the auspices of Mission Shakti, partnered with distinguished organizations "Care For you" and "Global Peace Foundation" to orchestrate a comprehensive two-day International Women's Day symposium at GDC Ramgarh on March 6th and 7th, 2024.
The symposium commenced with keynote speaker Navya Verma, a seasoned expert in health education, delivering insightful lectures on indispensable First Aid methods. Covering topics such as CPR, choking, and fractures, Verma's presentations provided practical knowledge and skills crucial for emergency situations. In a parallel session, she shed light on the significance of Menstrual Hygiene, dispelling myths and addressing societal taboos surrounding menstruation.
Adding depth to the symposium, Ritika, an authority on social initiatives, provided a nuanced exploration of the various programs and initiatives undertaken by the Government of India for the empowerment of women. Her comprehensive overview outlined the multifaceted approaches and policies aimed at fostering a more inclusive and equal society.
The symposium took a legal turn with an intensive session led by Rekha Kapoor from the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). Kapoor, a seasoned legal professional, served as a knowledgeable resource person, delving into the intricate details of Laws Protecting Women's Rights. Attendees gained valuable insights into the legal frameworks in place, ensuring the protection and empowerment of women in the community.
A highlight of the event was the Success Stories session, where three accomplished women entrepreneurs shared their journeys. These narratives served as beacons of inspiration, illustrating the resilience and determination required to overcome challenges. The symposium also featured an exhibition/display segment showcasing cultural performances, posters, and paintings, providing a vibrant platform to celebrate the diverse talents within the community.
The two-day event culminated in a prestigious felicitation program, where the contributions of individuals and organizations dedicated to women's empowerment were acknowledged. This segment served as a heartfelt tribute to those who have played pivotal roles in driving positive change and creating an environment conducive to women's safety.
