Iia Jk chapter celebrates foundation day, Honors women in Architecture

Jammu, Mar 12: The Institute of Indian Architects (IIA) Jammu and Kashmir Chapter, under the leadership of Chairman Ar Vikas Dubey, Vice Chairman Ar Vishal Abrol, and the executive team, commemorated its 3rd foundation day with a series of events celebrating architecture and recognizing the significant contributions of women in the profession. The festivities commenced with a heartfelt initiative on March 8th, where members of the IIA JK Chapter interacted with inmates of a shelter home dedicated to supporting women facing distressing circumstances. This initiative aimed to foster compassion and provide much-needed support to those in need.
On March 9th, a thought-provoking Panel Discussion & Presentations on Women in Architecture took center stage. Eminent architects engaged in insightful discussions and enlightening presentations, highlighting the invaluable role women play in shaping the architectural landscape. The event served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, recognizing and celebrating the achievements of women in the profession. The celebrations continued with a refreshing Yoga session led by Ms. Pooja, a seasoned Yoga instructor, on March 10th at Main Park, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The session promoted physical and mental well-being, offering participants a serene and rejuvenating experience.
Haryana Marble, a premier Business House, generously sponsored the event, offering support crucial in making the celebrations possible. The institute expressed sincere gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the architectural community.
By combining recognition of women in architecture, community engagement, and the promotion of holistic well-being, the foundation day celebrations exemplified the institute’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and inclusive architectural community in the UT.
The entire executive body of IIA J&K Chapter extends gratitude to architects, members, and supporters whose contributions ensured the success of these celebratory events.
