Clean and Green Hygienic Drive Sweeps Through Vishwa Yog Sansthaan in Jammu

Jammu, Mar 12: March 12th marked a significant day in the city of Jammu as the Vishwa Yog Sansthaan (World Yog Institute) ashram at Har Ki Pauri, Bagh e Bahu, hosted a transformative Clean and Green Hygienic Drive. Organized by the Vishwa Yog Sansthaan, this event saw enthusiastic participation from students of the institute, including those under the guidance of Chairman Sh Yog Guru Karan ji, alongside international participants from the Netherlands and France.
The event was more than just a cleanup drive; it symbolized a collective commitment to fostering cleanliness and environmental sustainability in Jammu. Students’ eagerness to participate showcased their dedication to making their city a cleaner and more hygienic place to live.
Yog Guru Karan ji expressed gratitude to the people of Jammu for their support and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in aligning the city’s cleanliness standards with those of European cities. He commended the vision of the Prime Minister of India and called upon citizens to unite in the mission to enhance Jammu’s cleanliness. Ashok Dogra, Joint Secretary of the Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust, Jammu, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dogra lauded the organizers and participants for their efforts, stressing the need for such initiatives to become ingrained in daily life for the betterment of the community and the environment.
Activities during the event included tree planting, waste cleanup drives, and awareness campaigns. Participants worked diligently to beautify the ashram surroundings, leaving a positive impact on both the local environment and the community’s mindset. Sham Lal Basson ji, instrumental in organizing the event, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and participants’ spirit. He urged everyone to sustain the momentum and extend the initiative throughout Jammu and the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir. The presence of international participants from the Netherlands and France highlighted the global significance of maintaining a clean and green environment. Their active involvement fostered a sense of unity and collaboration in the pursuit of a cleaner and healthier Jammu.
As the Clean and Green Hygienic Drive concluded at Vishwa Yog Sansthaan, it left behind a lingering sense of collective responsibility and environmental consciousness.
