Saral Manak Sanskrit Workshop organized in MAM College

JAMMU, Mar 12: Saral Manak Sanskrit Workshop was organized on Tuesday under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University, Sri Ranbir Campus, Jammu; Indian Language Committee, Ministry of Education, Government of India; and MAM College, Jammu. In this workshop comprising of four sessions, eminent scholars from literature and Sanskrit field who had been invited from different places of Jaipur and Jammu, discussed in detail on the teaching and learning of Sanskrit in an easy way. The workshop started with lighting of the lamp and invocation by the guests. Thereafter, Saraswati Vandana was presented by the students of the music department of MAM College.
Campus Director Prof. Shreedhar Mishra honored the invited guests by giving them a memento and a flower bouquet. Discussing the objectives of the workshop in detail, he said that in the Saral Manak Sanskrit Workshop, we will be able to know the varoius simple forms of Sanskrit. He said that Sanskrit is the most suitable language for computers. If any student is curious and wants to learn to speak Sanskrit, then our teachers and students can teach him to speak and write Sanskrit i.e. the language of the Gods in 15-day conversation camp.
Chief guest of the program, Regional Director of IGNOU, Dr. Jaiprakash Verma said that Sanskrit language is very simple and easy. It is helpful in human welfare and development. It is believed by all that not only Vedapanishad and Puranas, but many other texts like Ayurveda, Astronomy and Yoga Shastra were also first published in this language.
Special guest, Principal of MAM College, Prof.B B Anand said that Sanskrit is the most ancient as well as modern language being the language of Gods. It is well known that the knowledge base of our country is in Sanskrit.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharcha, Dr. Diwakar Mishra of the Department of Education, Rajasthan Sanskrit University, while discussing the form of simple standard Sanskrit in his keynote speech, said that by making the teaching style in the classes interesting and comprehensible, we can make the subject more understandable. He also highlighted many important points of Saral Manak Sanskritam and said that Sanskrit is a rich and fluent language.
In the second session, the practice of simple Sanskrit conversation was discussed by Dr. Praveen Mani Tripathi. He made the trainees practice conversing with each other through simple sentences. The trainees very enthusiastically practiced speaking simple and daily life sentences in Sanskrit in an interesting manner. In the third session, while discussing the implementation of Saral Manak Sanskrit, Dr.Khem Narayan Regmi gave examples of simple sentences to the audience groupwise and explained the tricks of learning Sanskrit easily. In the concluding session, certificates were distributed by the guests to all the 150 registered participants.
Sanskrit teachers, researchers and students of government colleges of Jammu were present in the workshop. The stage was moderated by Dr. Khem Narayan Regmi. On this occasion, IQAC coordinator of MAM College, Dr. Neeraj, Dr. Sunil Uppal, Dr. Yogendra Dixit, Dr. Ashish Kumar, Kamal Kishore, Dr. Kamaljeet, Dr. Nazia Chaudhary were also present. Technical support was provided by Tirupati bala and Manoj Abrol. Dr. Purushottam Dash extended the vote of thanks.
