Hit, run case solved by police post Rehari within three hours

JAMMU, Mar 12: An information was received at Police Post Rehari through reliable sources that one person namely Mohd Hanief R/o Reka Narwal Jammu who was on his M/cycle bearing registration No.JK02CB-9298 and Pillon Rider namely Nusrat Fatima w/o Mohd Hanief R/o Reka Narwal Jammu got hit by a vehicle oil Tanker driven by some unknown person which caused serious injuries to the said pillon Rider. Locals shifted the injured pillon Rider lady to GMC Hospital Jammu,where the lady succumbed to injuries. After accident, the oil Tanker driver namely unknown along with vehicle flew from spot.
On this information,a case FIR No. 22/2024 U/S 279/304-A IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga,Jammu and investigation started.
A special team was constituted upon the directions of SP City North Shivam Siddharth- IPS to trace out accused person in hit and run case which was led by SHO P/S Pacca Danga Jammu and assisted by I/C PP Rehari under the supervision of SDPO City North Devinder Singh Bandral-JKPS.The team so constituted did strenuous efforts and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area, finally arrested the accused person namely Mohd. Amin S/O Mohd Din R/o Treru, Teh Kala kot Distt Rajouri who confessed his involvement in the above case. Also the vehicle used in commission of offence bearing Registration No JK02DF 2305 was also seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on.People have applauded the prompt action by the Jammu Police
