Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 27: One day Awareness programme on First Aid, CPR, Choking, Fire Fighting and other emergency rescue methods was organized at Govt. Women College, Parade Ground, Jammu in which 70 NSS students, NCC cadets and designer course students of the College participated. The Program was organized under the supervision of Dy. SP. Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu who gave awareness about basic knowledge through demonstration by Civil Defence experts. The main aim of the awareness programme was to make aware the students and staff members with regard to preventive measures during natural or manmade disaster. On the occasion a lecture on the topics of Disaster Management was delivered by Dy. SP. Anita Pawar. She also highlighted the set up and role of Civil Defence in the organization. Dr. Ravinder Kumar Tikoo, Principal of the College appreciated the role of Civil Defence in spreading awareness about disaster management and rescue. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, R.Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Dr. Gurpreet kour NSS coordinator and other staff members of the college were also present on the occasion. |
