| Sangarsh delegation calls on VC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 3- A delegation from Sangarsh, a movement for justice, equality and prosperity, led by its Chairman Ashok Singh and President Krishan Dev Singh met Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu here today and demanded holding of elections to the JURSA at the earliest and also sealing the office of the Association till elections are held Founder member of Sangarsh, Ranjeet Sharma gave several inputs to the highest office in the University of Jammu for raising the standards of research scholars and for promoting scholarly aptitude among the aspirants in the campus. He appealed to the Vice Chancellor for sponsoring the scholars to attend the All India Conference for presenting their papers in the papers, besides raising the issue of making availability of on- line journals, promoting skill orienting programs, including personality development programs, and increasing scholarships to maximum number of research scholars enrolled in M. Phil and PhD programs. Krishan Dev Singh appealed the VC to clear his stand on requirement policy and dis-engagement of the staff. The Sangarsh in a handout claimed that the Vice Chancellor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them for resolving their issues. He is also reported to have promised to sponsor the scholars for participating in All India Conferences. Among others who met the VC included Jasbir Singh Katoch, Vishal Pathania, Mahesh Koul, Sunil Kumar and Pankaj Mansotra.
