Vehicles involved in illegal mining seized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 2: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which Police teams of Police Post Phallian, Police Post Sidhra and Border Police Post Gajansoo acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at multiple locations within their respective jurisdictions and seized 05 vehicles involved in illegal mining. PP Phallian Mandal seized 03 mining vehicles in which 01 JCB machine driver absconded from spot and was registered under case FIR no: 58/2024 u/s 353 IPC and 4/21 MMRD Act and 02 tractor trolleys loaded with sand bearing registration chassis no: 1. 1717594K2010 (JCB) 2. MBNAAALXBKJK03132 3. MBNGAALF2NRD00790 Detail of vehicle seized by PP Sidhra: 1. 01 Tipper loaded with bajri bearing registration no. JK02BB-7587 Detail of vehicle seized by BPP Gajansoo: 1. 01 Dumper loaded with Crusher dust bearing no: JK02CE-3899 The vehicles were found loaded with minor mineral sand without FormA/permission and so were detained. DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same. The mining was done in violation of order of Honourable High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has inititiated strict action. |
