Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 4: School of Business Studies, Central university of Jammu under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, CUJ and Abhishek Sharma, DC, Samba motivated local residents of the samba district to register Homestays as a new business venture addressing income and employment generation. Skill development course on Homestay Entrepreneurship Development Program for Youth of District Samba under SANKALP enters 3rd week wherein practical exposure is being provided by field experts. In this context Tourist Officer and Coordinator of the course Rajesh Raina interacted with the participants of the course and shared his valuable insights about the Homestay registration process and discussed success stories of Homestays in the region. Project Team apprised that during next week participants shall be taken to resorts, restaurants and homestays along with institutes of repute to provide hands-on training. It is pertinent to mention here that the present MoU was signed between the District Skill Committee, Samba and School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu in the presence of LG Manoj Sinha during his visit to campus. The training Programme is conducted by faculty members from School of Business Studies including Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dr. Neelika Arora, Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Raman, Dr. Amit Gangotia, Dr. Bharti Gupta, Rahul Thakur, Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, and Dr. Anju Thapa. Tourist Officer Rajesh Raina arranged the participants and provided administrative and logistic support for smooth conduct of the Programme along with Amanpreet Singh, Superintendent, ITI Samba. |
