Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 4: In a significant move towards bolstering emergency response capabilities at the airport, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K organized a comprehensive First Aid awareness programme for the employees of Civil Airport, Jammu today. The initiative, aimed at equipping airport staff with essential lifesaving skills, underscores a commitment to public safety and health preparedness. Indian Red Cross Society's First Aid training programme gives the information and skills one need to help adults and children during many emergency situations, The awareness programme was inaugurated by Director Airport, Sanjeev Kumar Garg. The training session focused on practical first aid techniques, emergency response strategies, and critical care methods to address common medical emergencies, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), wound management, and handling of sudden illnesses. The awareness was imparted to the participants by the Red Cross team of Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Medical Officer, Ravi Kant Magotra, Supervisor Pharmacist and Vironica Marwah, Field Officer. The training witnessed enthusiastic participation from wide range of airport personnel, like operations staff, security staff, customer service representatives, and maintenance teams, all of whom play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of Jammu Airport. On the occasion, the Director Airport commended the team Red Cross for providing such vital information to the staff which will enhance the safety of passengers as well as empower staff to handle emergencies confidently |
