Police seizes six vehicles for illegal mining | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Apr 8: In a concerted effort to combat illegal mining activities in the district, Samba Police has seized six vehicles, including two dumpers and four tractor trolleys, utilized for unauthorized transportation and mining of construction material. The crackdown, carried out within the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and Police Station Bari Brahmana, saw police teams led by various officials taking decisive action against the perpetrators of illegal mining. Under the leadership of SHO PS Samba, Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Tali, Incharge Police Post Mansar, and Incharge Police Post Supwal, diligent patrolling efforts led to the interception and seizure of two dumpers bearing registration numbers JK21G-8300 and JK21G-5779, along with two unregistered tractor trolleys engaged in illegal mining and transportation activities. Similarly, a police team led by SHO PS Bari Brahmana seized two tractor trolleys with registration numbers JK21F-1890 and JK02AN-0025 for their involvement in illegal mining and transportation of construction material within the jurisdictional area. The apprehended vehicles have been promptly seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba, for further investigation and necessary legal action. This robust enforcement action by the Samba Police underscores their commitment to curbing illicit mining activities, safeguarding natural resources, and upholding the law.
