Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 12: In a vibrant display of cultural unity and reverence for social reform, Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, reverberated with enthusiasm as it commemorated the spring harvest festival of Baisakhi alongside the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, fondly known as Ambedkar Jayanti. Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Gaurav Charak, Principal, and Mrs. Anku Charak, Vice Principal, along with the esteemed Incharges of distinguished wings, the school organized a special musical assembly to mark the occasion.
The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer seeking divine blessings, setting the tone for a day of reflection and celebration. Students eloquently conveyed speeches, reminiscing about Babasaheb Ambedkar's tireless efforts in eradicating social evils such as untouchability and caste restrictions. Aradhya (6th) delivered a poignant speech, paying homage to his teachings and contributions.
The life and legacy of Dr. Ambedkar were further honored through a soul-stirring song performance by students of 8th and 9th grades, illustrating his relentless pursuit of social justice and equality.
The atmosphere was further enlivened by captivating speeches and poems by students, Gurpreet, Mehpreet, Gurkirat, and Divyanshi, who eloquently expounded on the significance of Baisakhi, a major harvest festival celebrated in northern India, particularly in Punjab.
The celebration reached its crescendo with mesmerizing dance performances, including energetic bhangra routines, by students such as Angel, Jaisika, Prachi, Manvika, Shruti, Shreya, and Aakriti, captivating the audience and infusing the gathering with boundless joy and exuberance.
Mrs. Monika, in her address, underscored the importance of celebrating festivals like Baisakhi to instill cultural heritage and foster a deeper understanding of traditions among students. She elucidated the significance of the establishment of Khalsa Panth, tracing its roots back to the revered "Panj Pyare."
Principal Mr. Gaurav Charak, in his concluding remarks, urged students to emulate Dr. Ambedkar's ideals and principles in their lives, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility and inclusive growth. He extended warm wishes for a joyous Baisakhi and reiterated the significance of such celebratory activities in nurturing curiosity and creativity among students.
The celebrations at Humanity Public School encapsulated the essence of unity, diversity, and social consciousness, leaving an indelible mark on all participants and fostering a sense of collective pride and community spirit.
