Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 13: In a significant move to tackle the menace of bovine smuggling and uphold peace in the District Jammu area, the Jammu Police, led by Dr. Vinod Kumar IPS, SSP Jammu, and Sh. Brijesh Sharma JKPS, SP Rural Jammu, apprehended two notorious smugglers under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) as part of "Operation Kamdhenu." The apprehended individuals, identified as Zaffer Ahmed, son of Late Fareed Ahmed, resident of Majeen Ragoora, Tehsil and District Jammu, and Muskan Ali, son of Sher Ali, resident of Jandrah, Tehsil Dansal, District Jammu, have been repeatedly involved in criminal activities related to bovine smuggling, causing distress among specific communities. Zaffer Ahmed's criminal record includes several cases: Case No. 32/2021 under Sections 188/IPC and 11/PCA Act at P/S Jhajjar Kolti. Case No. 197/2023 under Sections 188/IPC and 11/PCA Act at P/S Jhajjar Kolti. Case No. 232/2023 under Sections 188/IPC and 11/PCA Act, along with violations of Transport of Animal Act, at P/S Nagrota. Case No. 108/2024 under Sections 188/IPC and 11/PCA Act at P/S Nagrota. Similarly, Muskan Ali has been involved in multiple cases: Case No. 585/2023 under Sections 188/IPC and 11 PCA Act at P/S Udhampur. Case No. 04/2024 under Section 11 PCA Act at P/S Jhajar Kolti. Case No. 12/2024 under Sections 188/IPC and 11 PCA Act at P/S Rehambal. Case No. 121/2024 under Sections 188/IPC and 11 PCA Act at P/S Udhampur. The warrants for Zaffer Ahmed were executed by SHO P/S Nagrota/I/C PP Sidhra, while those for Muskan Ali were executed by SHO P/S Jhajjar Kolti, under the vigilant supervision of SDPO Nagrota and SP Rural Jammu.
