Jammu, Apr 15: One day awareness programme was held at NCC camp Nagrota, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the supervision of Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Fire fighting were given by the Civil Defence expert to the NCC cadets. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics was also presented by the Civil Defence team. The main aim of the awareness programme was to educate students with regard to preventive measures during natural or Man-made disasters.
The programme was organized in the premises of the NCC Camp, Nagrota where 400 NCC cadets & NCC officers from the various educational institutions Jammu have participated. Col. R S. Jasrotia appreciated the role of Civil Defence organization and thanked the Civil Defence team for organizing such important awareness-cum-demonstration programme. During the programme a lecture was also delivered by Sh. Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu on the topic disaster management and role of CD wardens in Civil Defence organization. Sh. R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, and other staff of the NCC Camp Nagrota were present on the occasion. |
