SMVDU students presented a paper at an international conference SDCEE-2024 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 21: B Tech students in the third year and final year of the School of Civil Engineering (SoCE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University presented a technical paper at an International Conference on "Sustainable Development in Chemical and Environmental Engineering (SDCEE 2024)". Kevin Somra and Pooja Kharra presented a paper titled "Use of Spent Ballast as a Column Material for Enhancing Load Carrying Capacity of Soft Clay Bed: Numerical Analysis" Another group of students Sashwat Singh, Abhijeet Gupta, and Rishikesh Kanitkar also presented a paper titled " Utilisation of fly ash as a top layer of foundation under embankment loading: Numerical Study". Also, Abhivek Singh, Mansi Thakur, Sagar Singh, and Khwaish Gupta presented a paper titled "Application of demolished construction waste as a column infill to improve soft soil's strength: Numerical Analysis". All the groups were guided by Srijan (Assistant Professor, SoCE). The conference was organized by Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. The papers of the students stand a chance of getting published in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals. |
