Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: The NSS Units of G.D.C Udhampur joined hands with the Department of Zoology to observe World Malaria Day, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness and combating the spread of malaria. Under the esteemed guidance of Worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, the college community came together to shed light on the significance of this international observance. World Malaria Day, observed annually on April 25th, serves as a reminder of the collective efforts required to combat malaria, a disease that affects millions worldwide. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the NSS Units of G.D.C Udhampur organized an awareness lecture to educate students about the disease and emphasize preventive measures. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, accompanied by esteemed faculty members including Prof. Babu Lal, Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, and Dr. Jagjeet Singh. The invocation of Saraswati Vandana by NSS Volunteers set a reverential tone for the event.
