Shiksha Niketan Sr Sec School celebrates Labour Day with zeal and appreciation

JAMMU, May 1: Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu, reverberated with gratitude and respect as it celebrated Labour Day with fervor, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of its dedicated employees. The day commenced with a special assembly where teachers enlightened the students about the significance of Labour Day and the essence of honoring the toil and sweat that goes into keeping organizations functioning smoothly.
The primary wing students showcased their appreciation through an engaging Intra-Class Speech Competition, focusing on the theme of the dignity of labor. The competition aimed to instill a deeper respect and understanding for the labor community among the students, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and valuing their efforts.
Naresh Kumar, a teacher from the high wing, presided over the competition as the judge, evaluating the participants based on criteria such as content, pronunciation, self-confidence, and gestures. The winners from each class were duly acknowledged for their eloquence and insightful presentations.
From Class 1st, Adarsh Dogra of 1st D clinched the first position, followed by Saarvi Chouhan and Shivansh Khajuria of 1st J securing the second position, and Anaya Gargotra of 1st B securing the third position. Similarly, students from classes 2nd, 3rd, and 4th showcased their oratory skills, with Grishma Thappa, Anhadjot Singh, and Sargun Kour emerging as winners in their respective classes. Naresh Kumar commended all participants for their earnest efforts, while Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji, the Principal of the school, congratulated the students for their exemplary performance. He emphasized the significance of Labour Day, highlighting the tireless dedication of workers worldwide and their pivotal role in national progress and development. Principal Mengi urged everyone to recognize and honor the labor force in all its forms, acknowledging their relentless hard work that uplifts the honor and prestige of the nation. The celebration culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem, resonating with the spirit of unity and appreciation for the labor community.
