NEW DELHI, May 1: Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana has asked the people of Ladakh Union Territory to vote the BJP candidate, Tashi Gyalson in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections from Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency for strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to helm the affairs of world's largest democracy for the third time.
In a statement issued to the selected media houses from national capital New Delhi, Khatana said that vote for BJP candidate will ensure safety, peace, developments, employment and progress of all while voting in the favour of INDI alliance candidate can push the country to corruption, scandals, bloodshed and terrorism.
He said that BJP candidate from Ladakh, Tashi Gyalson is the sitting Chairman cum CEC of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh and has done a lot of developmental works in Leh.
Khatana further appealed to the people of Ladakh for not falling prey to the conspiracy and wrong propaganda of certain wrong elements especially INDI alliance which have vested interests and nefarious designs.
He said that finding its ship sinking the Congress led INDI alliance is now resorting to lies and falsehood about BJP to which the prudent people of Ladakh will give a befitting reply on the day of polling.
"PM Modi has a special place in his heart for the people of Ladakh and all the interests of Ladakh people can only be safeguarded under the leadership of PM Modi," the senior BJP leader maintained.
He also said that Ladakh has seen immense developments in the last ten years under the leadership of PM Modi and in the third term PM Modi will accomplish the left over works.
Khatana said that now borders with China have been strengthened to safeguard Ladakh under the leadership of PM Modi and there were instances when the shepherds of Ladakh have on their own forced Chinese troops to retreat only by using stones as leadership of PM Modi has given courage to all the Indians to deal the enemy on spot without waiting for any support.
