Early Times Report JAMMU, May 1: The Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, hosted a successful three day training programme aimed at equipping nominated officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Government with the necessary skills to proficiently access the IFAD Open Procurement System. Held from 29th April to 1st May at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of all nominated officers, highlighting the critical importance of the procurement system aimed at successful implementation of the Competitiveness improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sector in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (JKCIP). The comprehensive training programme conducted by S. Sriram, Country Ops. Analyzer IFAD and experts, provided attendees with a detailed understanding of the IFAD Open Procurement System's functionalities, workflows, and best practices. Through interactive sessions practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises were imparted. Participants gained invaluable insights into navigating the system effectively, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and compliance with procurement guidelines. The Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, extends its appreciation to IFAD for its continuous support and collaboration in strengthening procurement capacities and promoting sustainable agricultural development in the region.
