GDC RS Pura launches cleanliness drive | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: In a concerted effort to foster environmental stewardship and community service, the NSS unit at Government Degree College (GDC), R.S. Pura, joined hands with the Beautification Committee to conduct a noteworthy Shramdhan drive. This initiative aimed to reinforce the institution's commitment to maintaining a clean, green campus and surroundings. Under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Bhagat, students, faculty, and staff came together with fervor and dedication to participate in the cleanliness campaign. Equipped with cleaning tools and a strong sense of responsibility, volunteers enthusiastically tackled litter and debris, while also tending to the campus's aromatic gardens. In her message, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Bhagat commended the collective effort and encouraged continued engagement in community service. She emphasized the pivotal role of NSS in nurturing responsible citizens and instilling a sense of duty towards society. NSS Program Officer, Dr. Chanchal Angral, lauded the overwhelming response and commitment demonstrated by volunteers. Dr. Angral stressed the significance of community service, urging participants to integrate it into their daily lives and become catalysts for positive change. The event also witnessed the presence and support of esteemed faculty members including Dr. Rajinder Sharma, Prof. Shifali Abrol, Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch, and Mr. Sunny Kumar.
