BLSKS stages mega cultural program "Nasha Mukat" at Dr Ambedkar Convent School

JAMMU, May 3: In a bid to further the cause of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) presented the 420th installment of its Friday Series Dogri Musical Play titled "Nasha Cha Bachoo." The event, held at Dr. Ambedkar Convent School in Bantalab, Jammu, was a collaborative effort between BLSKS, Sangam Tru Art Production, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, and the Social Welfare Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
The musical play, written and directed by renowned personality Dr. M.L. Dogra, aimed to raise awareness about drug abuse and its adverse effects on society. Over 250 students and teachers participated in the event, where they took a pledge to support the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment honored the principal of the host school with a certificate for their contribution to the cause.
The program commenced with soul-stirring performances of traditional Dogri songs, including "Nasha Na Karna - Man Lo Kehna," "Hogi Badi Khrabi," "Khand Mithe Log Dogre," and "Labour Ka Kam." The music for the play, composed by the acclaimed music teacher Raju Bajgal, added to the captivating atmosphere.
Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Dogra, Principal of Dr. Ambedkar Convent School, commended the efforts of BLSKS in organizing such impactful awareness programs. He emphasized the significance of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan in addressing drug-related challenges and promoting a healthy society.
Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of BLSKS, highlighted the importance of addressing drug withdrawal symptoms and underscored the organization's commitment to cultural promotion and social causes, including environmental conservation.
Mahesh Chander Kotwal, General Secretary of BLSKS, reiterated the organization's dedication to promoting Dogra culture and supporting initiatives like the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan.
The event featured mesmerizing performances by singers, musicians, and actors, showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of the region. Master Deepak Kumar extended gratitude for the successful execution of the program.
The entire event was recorded and shared on social media platforms to extend its reach and impact, reflecting BLSKS's commitment to fostering positive change through cultural engagement and social awareness.
