Shiv Sena delegation to campaign in Mumbai, criticizes BJP's policies | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: In a move aimed at bolstering their party's prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena is set to embark on a campaign trail in Mumbai. Led by Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni, the six-member team is scheduled to depart from Jammu for Mumbai on May 4, with a clear mission to rally support for Shiv Sena candidates in Maharashtra. During a recent event at the state central office of the party, Sahni unveiled a poster highlighting the challenges faced by both Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir, which were depicted as victims of BJP's alleged conspiracies. Sahni accused the BJP of fabricating falsehoods about Jammu and Kashmir while the region grappled with disillusionment. He lamented the hollow promises of peace, development, and economic progress made by the BJP-led government, emphasizing the lack of assembly elections in the state for the past five years. Furthermore, Sahni criticized the BJP's attempts to destabilize Maharashtra by purportedly attempting to fracture alliances and undermine Mumbai's significance as the country's economic hub. He asserted that these maneuvers also targeted Bollywood's autonomy. In response, the Shiv Sena delegation aims to expose these alleged conspiracies and advocate for their party's candidates, including former MP Arvind Sawant, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Desai, Amol Kirtikar, and Sanjay Dina Patil, contesting from various constituencies in Mumbai. The delegation, comprising prominent party members such as Meenakshi Chhibber, Vikas Bakshi, Balwant Singh, Raj Singh, Rajesh Handa, and Mangu Ram, is determined to ensure the victory of Shiv Sena candidates and counter what they perceive as BJP's divisive tactics. |
