Five days training programme on new criminal laws begins at DPL Samba | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, May 4: J&K Police has today commenced five days training programme on new criminal laws at District Police Lines Samba for the officers/officials of Samba Police. The objective of the training programme is to acquaint the police officers & officials with the three new criminal laws which will be implemented very soon in the country. Three master trainers of the rank of Inspectors are imparting training to 25 police officers/officers in first batch. Special lectures will also be delivered by the Gazetted Police Officers and Prosecuting Offices during the course of training programme. During the training period, lectures will be delivered on new criminal laws namely "Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita" (BNS), "Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita" (BNSS), and "Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam" (BSA) which will replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), and the Indian Evidence Act. The training programme is being coordinated & supervised by DySP DAR Samba who is also the nodal officer for the said programme. The training programme will continue on weekly basis till all Police personnel of Samba Police are familiarized with new criminal laws. |
