Early Times Report JAMMU, May 6: Anil Kumar Khandelwal, Member Infrastructure, Railway Board, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Srinagar-Sangaldan-Katra section of the prestigious National Project of USBRL (Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link) on May 5th, 2024. Accompanied by senior officers from Northern Railway (NR) and Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), he meticulously reviewed the ongoing crucial works of the project. The inspection commenced from Srinagar, where Khandelwal embarked on a train journey/inspection car up to Sangaldan. From there, he continued his examination via motor trolley, inspecting the progress along the route up to Katra. Notably, he paid close attention to the remaining critical tasks in Sawalakote yard and Tunnel T-33 near Katra, both pivotal for the completion of the entire project. Expressing contentment with the pace of development, he urged project authorities to maintain a vigilant eye on the work of Tunnel T-33. The USBRL Project stands as a testament to India's engineering prowess, navigating through the formidable terrain of the young Himalayas, replete with geological intricacies.
