Police registers 4 FIRs, arrests 4 bovine smugglers | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, May 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators under Operation KAMDHENU, Ramban Police under the supervision of SSP Ramban Shri Anuj Kumar-IPS has foiled bovine smuggling attempts, registered 04 FIRs arrested 04 bovine smugglers, rescued 43 bovines and seized 04 vehicles. Police Party of PS Ramsoo headed by SHO Ramsoo intercepted a vehicle and held one person. During checking,27 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle, which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally. In another instance Police team of Police station Banihal headed by SHO Banihal while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted 03 vehicles held three persons.During checking 16 bovines were found laden inside the three vehicles which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally. As a result, a total of 43 bovine Animals were rescued under the operation "KAMDHENU." Subsequently, FIR No. 61/2024 and was registered at Police Station Ramsoo FIR Nos. 70/2024, 71/2024 and 72/2024 were registered at PS Banihal under Sections 188 IPC and under section 11 of the Prevention of cruelty to Animals Act. The investigation has been initiated into these cases. 04 persons arrested and 04 vehicles involved in the commission of offence have been seized. |
