| Woman dead mysteriously, parents allege dowry connection | | |

Udhampur March 9 -A woman died under mysterious circumstances at her in laws residence at Arya Samaj Gali in Udhmapur today .Deceased was identified as Rajni Devi wife of Sanjeev Gupta
According to reports in- laws of the deceased said that she committed suicide by hanging herself whereas her parents who reached here from Chenani alleged that she was being tortured for last few months and has been murdered for want of dowry.
Talking to media, the sister and cousin brother of the victim alleged that deceased was married five months back with Sanjeev Kumar and after few days of marriage her in- laws and husband started beating and harassing her demanding dowry and cash . They added that deceased was working in cooperative bank and was educated lady and despite atrocities by in laws, she tolerated all this which resulted in her death today.
Meanwhile getting report that in-laws are planning to cremate the deceased without conducting postmortem and informing her parents SHO Udhampur along with police reached the spot and shifted dead body to District hospital for postmortem. Sources said that injury marks of rope were found on deceased neck .Parents and sister of girl Pooja alleged that she has been murdered and said that God would not forgive them as they are the murderers.
