BJP hatching conspiracy to weaken NC through proxies in Kashmir: Sadhotra | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 18: National Conference Additional General Secretary and Former Minister Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today lashed out at the BJP for conspiring to weaken the National Conference by creating proxies as its A, B and C Teams. Addressing a meeting of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Cell of the Party, which was convened to chalk out strategy for maximum polling in the Parliamentary Elections on 20th and 25th May, Mr Sadhotra said the BJP was shaking hands with those who were responsible for their exodus from their homes and hearths in Kashmir. He took jibe at the BJP, saying instead of daring to field its own candidates in the ongoing Elections to Three Lok Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir, the saffron party is standing behind rejected entities and those responsible for morass in the Valley. He said the BJP stands exposed before the people, especially politically sagacious Kashmiri Pandits, for its double standards and pseudo Nationalism. The motivation behind supporting and creating proxies is to destabilize the Valley and promoting peace inimical culture, he added. Mr Sadhotra said the falsehood being furthered by the BJP leadership against the National Conference speaks of their frustration as they are reading a writing on wall about their huge debacle in the ongoing general elections. He said the INDIA bloc is turning turtle the BJP's apple cart by inflicting a huge defeat to it across the country. Its departure from the National scene will strengthen Secular Forces and those believing in the idea of INDIA that stands for unity in diversity. Sadhotra said the BJP is terribly afraid of the popularity of the National Conference, which is a mass movement in every nook and corner of the state and represents the urges and aspirations of every segment of the society in all the regions and the sub-regions. This is why the BJP leadership has resorted to conspiracies against the National Conference, he added. The Former Minister said that the NC leadership has stood like a rock against the interests of all segments of the people, including the Migrant Kashmiri Pandit community, which has been let down by the BJP during the past one decade of the Modi government. Instead of ensuring their safe and dignified return back to their homes, the saffron party is indulging in a misinformation campaign to malign Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah, who have been tirelessly working for mitigating the problems of the hapless migrants as they believe that Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits. He said the measures taken by the successive NC governments under Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah have taken path breaking initiatives to minimize the miseries of the displaced community. Sadhotra expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri Pandits and reiterated that the NC will continue to seek their safe and secured return to the Valley, as envisioned by the leadership to restore the pristine glory of Kashmir, known for time tested plurality and inclusiveness. He made a fervent appeal to Kashmiri Pandit electors to vote and support Omar Abdullah and Mian Altaf Ahmed from Baramulla and Anantnag Parliamentary Constituencies, which are respectively going to polls on May 20 and May 25. "The vote and support of Kashmiri Pandits will be crucial for defeating the conspiracy being hatched by the BJP to weaken National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir ", Mr Sadhotra added.
