JAMMU, May 20: In a major crackdown on fraudsters, Cyber Cell DPO Jammu of Jammu & Kashmir Police solved online cyber crime complaint.
A complaint was received regarding financial fraud huge amount of Rs.11,12,000. The complainant joined a what's app group for review on restaurants & hotels and complainant invested an amount of Rs.11,12,000 in several transactions. After investment of total amount of Rs.11,12,000/- fraudsters blocked victim phone number from whatsapp group. During the investigation, the Cyber Cell DPO Jammu, acted swiftly and exhibited hectic efforts which ultimately led to put on hold an amount of Rs 6,50,472/- out of 11,12,000/- in online cyber crime complaint .More defrauded amount is likely to be put on hold out of huge amount of Rs. 11,12,000. Further investigation is underway.
