Early Times Report JAMMU, May 23: In a significant endeavour to empower the youth, the Indian Army joined hands with Dr. Rubia Bukhari's Cocoon Artistry Initiative to organize a transformative workshop on sericulture and cocoon artistry in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu based Defence Spokesman Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said that Army organised a workshop at village Chamba in Rajouri district on Thursday, marking a pivotal moment in the efforts to uplift communities through skill development and entrepreneurship. The workshop, spearheaded by Gambhir Battalion in collaboration with Dr. Rubia Bukhari, a Cocoon Artist and Lecturer at the Department of Sericulture, Poonch Campus, University of Jammu, aimed to educate, inspire, and empower the youth of the region. By introducing them to the art and science of sericulture and cocoon craft, the initiative seeks to encourage them to explore these fields as potential career paths.
