3 bovine smuggling bids foiled, 10 bovines rescued, 2 vehicles seized | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 23: Jammu police tightening noose against bovine smugglers under operation Kamdhenu Police team of Police Station Nagrota foiled 02 bovine smuggling bids in which 08 bovines were rescued and 02 vehicle Tata Mobile bearing registration No.JK11C/0590 being driven by driver namely Sahil Ahmed Chechi s/o Mohd Ashraf Chechi Caste Bakarwal R/o Qazikund Manzmooh Tehsil Dooru District Anantnag was arrested on spot and Vehicle Tata Mobile bearing registration No.JK14E/4672 seized from Naka Ban Toll Plaza driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot taking advantage of darkness. One more bovine smuggling bid foiled by PP Manwal when two bovines were rescued from the clutches of bovine smuggler,who was taking them on foot without DM permission and run from the spot by taking advantage of darkness. In this regards 03 FIRs were registered:- FIR No.158/2024 FIR No.159/2024 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA Act 50/52/54/56 Transport of animals Ruled.(PS Nagrota) FIR No.128/2024 U/s 188/IPC (PS Jhajjar Kotli) Investigation of all cases are in progress. General public have appreciated the continuous and strict actions against bovine smugglers. |
