Police registers 4 FIRs, arrests 4 bovine smugglers, seizes 4 vehicles | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators under Operation KAMDHENU, Ramban Police under the supervision of SSP Ramban Shri Anuj Kumar-IPS has foiled bovine smuggling attempts, registered 04 FIRs arrested 04 bovine smugglers, rescued 52 bovines and seized 04 vehicles. Police team of Police station Batote headed by SHO Batote while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted a vehicle, held 01 person. During checking 17 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle, which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally towards Kashmir. In another instance Police teams of Police station Banihal headed by SHO Banihal and ICPP JT, Banihal while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted 03 vehicles, and held 03 persons. During checking 35 Bovines were found laden inside the 03 vehicles, which were tide in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally towards Kashmir Valley. As a result, a total 52 bovine Animals were rescued under the operation "KAMDHENU." Subsequently, FIR No. 75/2024 was registered at Police Station Batote, FIR No.83/2024, 84/2024, 86/2024 were registered at Police Station Banihal, under the relevant Sections of law. The investigation has been initiated into these cases. 04 persons arrested and 04 vehicles involved in the commission of offence have been seized. |
