JAMMU, May 31: Jammu Sanskriti School proudly held its annual investiture ceremony, a significant event marking the formal bestowal of responsibilities to the newly elected student council. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Kanwaljeet Kaur Anand, Chairperson of the Taran Education Trust, who served as the chief guest.
The event commenced with a traditional Vandana , symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom.
Rohini Aima -Principal Cum Vice-Chairperson - a luminary in the field of social work and education, delivered an inspiring address that resonated deeply with the students and faculty. She emphasized the importance of leadership, integrity, and service, urging the newly appointed council members to lead by example and to uphold the values of the institution.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office, where the Head Boy, Head Girl, and other council members pledged their commitment to their roles. They vowed to perform their duties with utmost dedication and to be exemplary role models for their peers. The process of selection for students was rigorous and a great learning for them.
From submitting nominations to preparing compelling manifestoes, our young leaders showcased their dedication and vision for the future.
The voting process was a true testament of democracy in action. Every learner had a voice, and they used it to make informed choices. Finally, we celebrated the announcements of the result, applauding all the candidates for their hard work and commitment.
This experience has not only helped our learners understand the value of democracy but also empowered them to be active participants in their community.
The event also featured cultural performances by the students, showcasing their talents and adding a festive spirit to the occasion. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and motivation.
As Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu is known for pioneering in myriad things and this time also we invited our former members of student council to share their expertise and experience with the newly elected ones. They were also felicitated by the Chief Guest and Principal Cum Vice-Chairperson of the school for sparing their time and be part of the ceremony.
