| Reasi Police tightens noose on bovine smugglers | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, June 2: Continuing special drive against the bovine smuggler under Operation-Dhenu Reasi police foiled bovine smuggling at Chillad Thuroo area. An information through reliable source received at Police Station Arnas that some bovine smugglers have carried bovine animals from Chillad Thuroo towards Kashmir for selling purpose. Soon after the receipt of the information, the police party reached on the spot and bovine smugglers namely Nisar Ahmed S/O Mohd Rafiq R/O Hunder Tehsil Arnas and Ibrar Ahmed S/O Sultan Mohd R/O Thuroo Tehsil Thuroo who were found carrying 08 bovine animals without any valid permission of the concerned authority, was apprehended as well as seized Vehicle bearing Regd No JK20A 2322 by the Police party.
On this, Case FIR No. 43/2024 U/S 188 IPC 11 (1) PCA Act stands registered at P/S Arnas and investigation initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages.
Ms. Mohita Sharma-IPS Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with bovine smuggler and will leave no stone unturned to curb this menace from the society. |
