Director JKEDI reviews functioning of District offices 6/8/2024 9:49:31 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 8: Director Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Rajinder Kumar Sharma (JKAS) Saturday chaired a review meeting here at Bari Brahmana. During the virtual review meeting, the Director reviewed the overall functioning of the district offices of the institute, especially the progress made regarding the registrations under J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 and repayments and recovery of loans under different self-employment schemes. The meeting was attended by the concerned Range Officers, District Nodal Officers of JKEDI and In-charge officers of the concerned sections from across the UT of J&K. During the meeting the Director appreciated the top performing district teams and exhorted upon the others to enhance their efforts and complete all targets in designated time. The Director gave a thorough analysis of recovery data, highlighting the progress achieved in all the districts of J&K. The holistic review of the recovery and repayment status underscores the institute’s dedication to transparency, accountability and sustainable growth. “All District Officers shall follow a multi-pronged strategy to deal with the defaulters and realise the government money disbursed as soft loans under different schemes, especially in due consultation with the concerned District administration,” the Director said. The concerned Range Officers were directed to ensure their support and motoring of respective DNOs to realize the assigned targets regarding startup registrations, awareness programs and recovery of the default loans. The Director stressed the importance of a collaborative spirit among JKEDI employees to meet and exceed the expectations set forth in guiding the youth towards successful entrepreneurial endeavors.
