| Ramnagar rape case worked out in 24 hours | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 8: Udhampur police nabbed two rape accused namely Dalip Kumar S/O Ramesh Kumar R/O Panchound and Ravinder Kumar S/O Bansi lal R/O Panchound Tehsil Ramnagar, District Udhampur within 24 hours of the occurrence of the offence, who were accused of raping two minor girls of Chattrari area of Ramnagar. Today in the morning an information received at PS Ramnagar that two minor girls resident of Chatrari, Ramnagar while returning to their house from School Picnic last evening were raped by the above said accused persons in nearby jungle area of Chatrari. After committing the offence, both the accused persons fled away from the spot. On this information, a case FIR No. 62/2024 was registered under relevant sections of law at P/S Ramnagar and police team of PS Ramnagar rushed to the spot and recovered both the girls who were found in unconscious condition from the jungle area of Chatrari. Both the girls have been shifted to SDH Ramnagar for treatment and police teams were dispatched to different suspected locations for raids in order to arrest the accused persons.. Subsequently, a police team led by SHO P/S Ramnagar succeeded in arresting both the accused With the arrest of accused, the said rape case was worked out in 24 hours. |
