Early Times Report JAMMU, June 8: The Directorate of Health Services Jammu organized a one-day training programme on the functionality and features of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) at the Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The workshop aimed to enhance efficiency and transparency in the procurement process within the health sector, ultimately improving patient care delivery. Dr. Rakesh Magotra, Director of Health Services Jammu, inaugurated the training programme. The event was attended by several key officials, including Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer of DHS Jammu, Deepshikha Sharma; Medical Superintendent of Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar; all Chief Medical Officers of Jammu Division; Medical Superintendents of District Hospitals; and designated Buyers, including dealing assistants. The training session was conducted by Ankit Jhawar, Deputy Director of J&K UTs GeM, and Javeed Ahmed Sheikh, Business Facilitator for J&K and Ladakh (GeM). They provided detailed practical training on various features of GeM, such as bid creation, reverse auction, push button, and forward auction. The workshop aimed to streamline the buying process in the health sector, ensuring a more efficient and transparent system that benefits patient care. |
