Early Times Report JAMMU, June 22: Army Public School Kaluchak celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and zeal on 21st June 2024, aligning with the global theme "Yoga for Self and Society." This event highlighted the significance of yoga in fostering a harmonious balance between individual well-being and societal welfare. A diverse group of participants, including 65 NCC cadets from the senior and junior wings, along with students from classes VIII to XII, actively engaged in the event. The celebration commenced with an invigorating session of various yogic asanas, under the guidance of Principal Namarta Thakur, and in the presence of Puja Sharma, Vice Principal of APS Kaluchak. The session aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being among the participants. Sudhir Jamwal, the esteemed yoga instructor, emphasized the profound benefits of yoga in achieving inner peace and overall health. His insightful guidance resonated with the cadets and students, who embraced the wisdom of a quote: "In the practice of yoga, one can emphasize the body, the mind, or the self, and hence the effort can never be fruitless." The event was meticulously organized under the coordination of Third Officer Anamika Jamwal of 2 J&K Girls Bn, with the unwavering support of the school management. The culmination of the event was marked by a heartfelt pledge taken by the NCC cadets to uphold the principles of yoga and propagate its benefits among the youth. In addition to the yoga session, all NCC cadets participated in the International Day of Yoga 2024 quiz, organized by the Ministry of Ayush and MyGov. Upon completion, they received e-certificates, acknowledging their active participation and commitment. To ensure the well-being of all participants, healthy refreshments were provided, adding to the overall sense of camaraderie and celebration. This celebration at APS Kaluchak not only nurtured a sense of unity and well-being among the participants but also reinforced the importance of integrating yoga into our daily lives for a healthier and more balanced future. |
