Doda, June 22: In an impressive display of professionalism and commitment, the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of J&K Police District Doda has successfully recovered a significant amount of defrauded money, totaling Rs. 3,40,000, in the month of June 2024. This achievement highlights the unit’s dedication to combating cybercrime and protecting the public from online fraud. The J&K Police District Doda released a statement detailing the successful recovery operation. The CCIU received complaints from four individuals: 1. Baber Tariq from Nagni, Kahara Doda. 2. Nayeem Ahmed from Charrote Gundana, Doda. 3. Suresh Kumar from Kuthyara Bhalla, Doda. 4. Vikar Ahmed from Naiedangri, Doda. The CCIU team conducted a thorough investigation, leveraging advanced technical skills and demonstrating tireless efforts. Their work culminated in the recovery of the defrauded amount, bringing relief to the victims. The CCIU Doda was established on February 7, 2024, and has since made substantial progress in the fight against cybercrime. To date, the unit has successfully recovered a total of Rs. 23,37,555 in defrauded funds. The J&K Police District Doda’s commitment to safeguarding the public from cyber threats continues to be evident through the persistent and effective actions of the CCIU. |
