SSR -2024: Training imparted to BLOs, Supervisors of District Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, June 29: To ensure the smooth conduction of the 2nd Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls-2024, a series of training sessions for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors was held today in district Kishtwar under the overall supervision of District Election Officer DEO Dr Devansh Yadav.
The maiden session was presided over by ERO 49-Kishtwar/ADC, Pawan Kotwal with all BLOs from the 49-Kishtwar Assembly Constituency (AC) in attendance. Following this, a session for the BLOs of the 48-Inderwal AC was led by ERO 48-Inderwal/ACR, Idrees Lone, here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex Kishtwar.
Additionally, a similar training session was conducted for the 50-Paddar Nagseni constituency, spearheaded by ERO 50-Paddar Nagseni AC, SDM Amit Kumar.
The Presiding Officers emphasized the crucial role of BLOs and supervisors at the ground level in facilitating an error free summary revision of electoral rolls.
The BLOs were informed that the summary revision of Photo Electoral Rolls of Legislative Assemblies is scheduled from July 25, 2024 (Thursday) to July 9, 2024 (Friday), encompassing all three Legislative Assemblies Viz 48-Inderwal, 49-Kishtwar and 59-Nagseni Paddar of district Kishtwar.
The BLO’s were directed to facilitate the special camps at their respective polling stations on July 27, 2024; July 28, 2024; August 3, 2024 and August 4, 2024 for the convenience of electors.
The qualifying date for new voters attaining age of 18 years is 1st July 2024 and disposal of claims and objections is fixed as August 19,2024 (Monday), with the final publication of Electoral Rolls on August 20,2024 (Tuesday).
The EROs urged the concerned BLOs and Supervisors to effectively coordinate for the summary revision, which includes the addition of new voters, addressing omissions, and eliminating duplicate entries, all before the assigned deadline.
The trainees were also apprised about the legal aspects of electoral rolls, documentation, ordinary residence aspects, and the technical aspects of the BLO Net app.
