Jammu Sanskriti School shines at UT-level Camporee of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides

JAMMU, July 5: The UT-level Camporee of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, held from 21st June to 26th June 2024 at the International Youth Hostel, Sonamarg, was marked by a series of commendable achievements by the students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu. The event, which saw the participation of 207 Scouts and Guides from 10 districts of J&K, was graced by the esteemed presence of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, who highlighted the significant contributions of Scouts and Guides in nation-building.
In his address, Lt. Governor Sinha praised the Scouts and Guides as epitomes of selfless service, discipline, dedication, and leadership. "Our Scouts and Guides are a living example of the value of unity in diversity and are diligently working towards equity and inclusion in society," he said. Emphasizing the role of young leaders, he added, "You are the future leaders and change-makers. Your energy, creativity, and determination will propel the journey of growth in Jammu and Kashmir."
During the Camporee, Scouts and Guides from various regions shared their experiences and learnings. The students of Jammu Sanskriti School particularly stood out by securing top positions in multiple competitions: Shivani, Divya, and Aadesh - 1st Position in Art and Craft, Simar and Sonakshi - 1st Position in Painting, Aadesh- 1st Position in Exposition, Simar, Sonakshi, Shivani, and Divya - 3rd Position in Folk Dance, Nasreen Khan, State Secretary Cum Administrative Officer of Bharat Scouts and Guides, J&K, along with Manjeet Kour, JSTC (G), provided unwavering support to the students throughout the Camporee. Additionally, Gitanjali Anand, Guide Captain, and Surjeet, Scout Master, played crucial roles in guiding the students to achieve these commendable positions in various competitions.
The event's success was significantly promoted by Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice Chairperson of Jammu Sanskriti School, whose encouraging efforts greatly contributed to the students' achievements.
