GDC organises plantation drive in collaboration with SBI | | | Early Times Report KHOUR, July 18: Government Degree College Khour, in association with State Bank of India, today organized a plantation drive on its campus to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. The event, held on 18th July 2024, saw the participation of students, faculty members, and bank officials, who came together to plant saplings and pledge their commitment to protect the environment. The plantation drive was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) T.K Sharma, Principal of Government Degree College Khour, and Branch Manager of State Bank of India, Sh. Rakesh Kumar. In their addresses, they emphasized the importance of preserving our natural resources and the role of institutions in promoting eco-friendly practices. During the event, over 50 saplings of various species were planted across the college campus. Students and staff were encouraged to take care of the saplings and ensure their growth. The initiative aims to create a green and sustainable environment, inspiring others to follow suit. The plantation drive is a testament to the commitment of Government Degree College Khour and State Bank of India to environmental stewardship. The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to continue working towards a greener future. |
