Poonch, July 22: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Poonch district has carried out an extensive enforcement drive along the Jammu-Poonch highways, focusing on vehicles with overloading of passengers. The MVD Inspector Poonch, Imran Choudhary conducted Enforcement drive on the direction of ARTO Poonch, Taramani. During the drive, a total of 25 vehicles were checked. The enforcement action resulted in the following; 5 cases of overloading of passengers, 11 vehicles were issued e-challans, 03 cases of breach of permit condition, 01 case of without SLD, 2 cases of other general offenses, 3 cases leading to suspension of driving licenses The total expected revenue from the e-challans issued during this drive amounts to Rs. 32,400. The enforcement drive is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with the Motor Vehicle Act and promote road safety in the region. The Motor Vehicle Department Poonch has reiterated its commitment to conducting such drives regularly to maintain the integrity of traffic rules and regulations in the area. |
