Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Secretary and Media Prabhari Jammu South Rohin Chandan today glorify the Union Budget 2024 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, terming it as a public-friendly budget. He said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh straight Budget on July 23 for the fiscal 2024-25, surpassing the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. The presentation on July 23 is the first Budget by the BJP-led NDA government since it was re-elected.
Rohiin Chandan said that, as mentioned in the interim budget, the focus is on four major castes, namely 'Garib' (poor), 'Mahilayen' (women), 'Yuva' (youth), and 'Annadata' (farmer). Rohiin Chandan added that the budget presented by FM Nirmala Sitharaman is a testament to the government's commitment to the welfare of the common man. It's a budget that prioritizes the needs of the people, with a focus on development, jobs, infrastructure, and social welfare."
Dwelling on the Budget theme, Rohiin Chandan emphasized turning attention to the full year and beyond. In this budget, FM Nirmala Sitharam particularly focuses on employment, skilling, MSMEs, and the middle class. She announced the Prime Minister's package of five schemes and initiatives to facilitate employment, skilling, and other opportunities for 4.1 crore youth over a 5-year period with a central outlay of ?2 lakh crore. This year, ?1.48 lakh crore has been allocated for education, employment, and skilling.
Rohin Chandan highlighted the 2024 budget's emphasis on job creation and entrepreneurship, infrastructure development, social welfare schemes, agriculture development, energy self-sufficiency, and strategic minerals. This budget is a clear reflection of the government's vision for a Viksit Bharat," Rohin Chandan said. "It's a budget that will benefit all sections of society, from farmers to entrepreneurs, and from the poor to the middle class." Chandan said the budget laid down a "solid roadmap to maintain India's growth momentum". He added that magical schemes such as PM's Package for Employment and Skilling, one crore paid internship opportunities, and employment-linked incentives will be game changers.
Rohin Chandan also praised the finance minister for presenting a budget that is both growth-oriented and inclusive. "FM Sitharaman has done an excellent job of balancing the needs of different sectors and sections of society," he expressed.
