Plantation drive held at Humanity Public School | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 24: In order to sensitize masses towards the need to preserve our environment and ecology, Tree plantation drive was organised by Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana. The main purpose of the programme was to sensitize the future global citizens about the relevance of their contribution to the environment. It is these young minds, who will herald the changes that will return the planet to its former glory. Sapling distribution was also organised by School administration. Nearly 200 saplings were distributed at HPS to Admin Staff, Faculty members, Students, Drivers and menial Staff. The participants also took a pledge to conserve the environment, to preserve the existing trees and not to indulge in any activities that would cause harm to nature. The participants were also instructed to maintain a growth record for the particular sapling. School Administration Officer Ravinder Sadhu addressed the gathering and highlighted that tree plantation is a necessity and an urgent need of the hour. The Principal of the school, Gaurav Charak emphasized the need for tree plantation to save our ecosystem and to preserve the environment for the future generations. Its aim was to raise awareness and consciousness about the environment among the masses. The drive was a huge success empowering students and staff with substantial knowledge of the environment and plants. |
