JAMMU, July 24: Under the patronage of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu, a plantation drive was held around the Central Library, Main Campus, Chatha, SKUAST - Jammu. The Statutory Officers of SKUAST-Jammu, Director Research, Dr. S.K.Gupta, Director Extension, Dr. Amrish Vaid, Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences, Dr. S.E.H. Rizvi, Dean, Faculty of Horticulture & Forestry, Dr. Vikas Tandon, , Director, School of Biotechnology, Dr. R.K. Salgotra University Librarian, Dr. R.K. Samnotra, and. teaching/non-teaching staff and a large number of students took part in the plantation drive. Prof. R.K. Samnotra, also gave a message of plantation to youth by adopting a tree. The event was organised to enhance the concept of Van-Mahotsav and make people aware of the environment and the importance of green cover around in future. |
