Srinagar, July 25: State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) J&K, in its fourth event of the Organ Donation Month organised Model Presentation Competition on "Organ Donation" at SET Paramedical and Nursing lnstitute, Bij Behara, Dist Anantnag. Students from various Nursing Colleges of Kashmir Division namely Florence Paramedical and Nursing Institute, Nai Basti; SET Paramedical and Nursing Institute; Bij Behara; Government Nursing College/GNM, Pulwama; South Kashmir Paramedical and Nursing College, Kulgam; Institute of Nursing, University of Kashmir, South Campus, Fatehgarh Anantnag, Government Nursing College, Anantnag and Dolphin Nursing College, Pulwama displayed their talent as models in this competition. Dr. Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director SOTTO appreciated the efforts of the participants in their presentation that Organ donation is the noblest way of giving life to such terminally ill patients giving them a new life. Dr Saima Jeelani, Assistant Professor, Govt. Nursing College Anantnag swore to work for this noble cause and motivated the students to make the population aware about Organ Donation. Irfan Ahmad Lone, Transplant Coordinator SOTTO encouraged the audience to actively participate in the organ donation pledge drive under Ayushman Bhav. Institute of Nursing, University of Kashmir, South Campus, Fatehgarh Anantnag held first position, Dolphin Nursing College, Pulwama, second and South Kashmir Paramedical and Nursing College, Kulgam third position in the competition. |
