| Police rescues 6 bovines, seized vehicle, arrested smuggler | | |

POONCH, July 26: Under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Yougal Kumar Manhas JKPS, Poonch Police tightening its noose against bovine smugglers, a police team headed by IC PP Behramgala PSI Rahul Angral under the supervision of SHO Surankote Rajesh Kumar Thappa, during day hours have foiled bovine smuggling bid in which 06 bovines were rescued, arrested the bovine smuggler and 01 vehicle seized, Tata mobile bearing registration number JK11C/9104 loaded with 06 bovines being driven by being driven by Ajaz Ahmed S/O Abdul Majid R/O Lah Teh. Thanamandi Distt. Rajouri for routine checking which were being transported illegally to Srinagar without any valid permission.
In this regard FIR No. 180/2024 U/S 223 BNS has been registered in Police Station Surankote. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
