Jammu, July 26: In a continued effort to prioritize the health and well-being of the families of its troops, the Border Security Force (BSF) organized a comprehensive medical camp at Frontier Jammu. This initiative was spearheaded by the BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) Frontier Jammu under the guidance of Smt. Sunita Boora, President of BWWA, Jammu Frontier.
Specialist doctors from Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu and Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu were invited to provide their expertise at the camp. The medical team included Dr. Malvika Sharma, Registrar and Ophthalmologist from GMCH Jammu, along with her team. Dr. Iqbal Singh, In-charge Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry at IGGDC Jammu, also participated with his team, under the supervision of Dr. Azhar Malik, Professor and HOD of Conservative Dentistry.
The camp was attended by 108 families of BSF personnel, who received medical consultations and check-ups. The event was conducted under the vigilant supervision of DIG Medical Jammu Frontier, Dr. Sukhjinder Singh.
BSF remains at the forefront of ensuring the health and welfare of the families of those who serve our borders with dedication. The organization of such medical camps is a testament to BSF’s commitment to the well-being of its troops’ families. These camps not only provide essential medical services but also educate families about the importance of regular eye and dental check-ups.
The medical camp was a resounding success, with families participating with great enthusiasm and zeal. They expressed their gratitude for the valuable health services provided and appreciated the informative sessions on various aspects of eye and dental care.
BSF is proud to continue its tradition of supporting the families of its brave troops through initiatives like these, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
