| Drug peddler arrested with heroin by J&K Police in Sub Division RS Pura | | |

JAMMU, July 29: Continuing its actions against drug peddlers under Ops SANJEEVANI, on 25.7.24, a police party of Police Station RS Pura while on routine patrolling established naka at Mottey for checking/frisking. During naka checking/frisking police party found one pedestrian on way from R.S Pura towards Satowali.
On seeing police party, the said pedestrian turned back and tried to flee from the spot.
On this police party of P/S R.S Pura successfully overpowered the pedestrian and detained him. On preliminary questioning the said person disclosed his name as Atul Chouhdary S/o Narinder Pal @ Bulla R/o Puro Bhana Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu. During his personal search heroin (chitta) like substance recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 154/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stand registered with this police station and investigation of the case started.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said person is already involved in NDPS Act cases and her mother namely Tara Devi recently arrested in case FIR No.152/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act (presently in police custody) on 24.07.2024 and 02 cases of NDPS act already been registered against her.
The father of accused Atul Chouhdary namely Narinder Pal @Bulla was already involved in 4 cases and presently lodged at District Jail Kathua under stringent PIT NDPS Act. The whole family was involved in drug peddling and destroying the life of youth of the area by selling the drugs.
The locals of the area have highly hailed the action of the police. |
