Modi Govt ushered in era of peace, progress in J&K: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday said that the BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi has ushered in a new era of peace and progress in J&K by taking transformative initiatives. In a statement issued to the media fraternity, the BJP stalwart leader said that under the stewardship of PM Modi, the Union Territory has embarked on a remarkable journey towards peace, stability, and development. "The abrogation of Article 370 has paved the way for full integration with the rest of India, opening doors to immense opportunities and equitable growth for all citizens", he said while exuding confidence that the Saffron party would form the next government in J&K with a thumping majority. He said that the BJP as a power to reckon with has taken path-breaking initiatives in J&K's growth story making the region the top tourist destination once again besides doing much to transform it into an educational hub by bringing the prestigious institutions like IIT, AIIMS, IIM, etc to this region which conventionally confronted development deficit due to myopic visions of successive governments. He said that endorsing the pragmatic steps taken by the Modi Government in J&K, the people have been eagerly awaiting to give their mandate to the BJP to form the next government. The senior BJP functionary however asked the party cadre to remain in touch with the people at the grass-root level to disseminate the party's plans and policies in offing to ensure progress in the UT at par with developed regions of the country claiming that this will help in consolidating more votes in the ensuing poll in J&K as there is no other political outfit having a vibrant roadmap like that of BJP for the region. |
